thechase99 If Peppers can knock Stafford out for the season during the Bears' first meeting against the Lions, pardon the BOUNTY implication - speaking only hypothetically of course, I will gladly make the 4 hour drive to Detroit to watch McLellin chase after his former college QB Moore in week 17
05/03/2012 - 12:22pm Respond Show all 4 comments Mind you, I'll likely be there either way... to watch the Bears manhandle those delinquent Lions 05/03/2012 - 12:23pm Come on man. I'm all for kicking the Lions' asses, but I'm not wishing anyone injury, and neither should you. I never understood all the trash talking and other BS that goes around the NFL fan base. It makes me sick to think people would root for other's pain. Just enjoy the game and not take it as something to root for just to see someone get hurt. This kind of stuff disgusts me. 05/03/2012 - 9:17pm Yeah i'd rather see the Bears kicking the lions Ass with Stafford in the game. I'd like to see the Bears make the kid look like a human pinata (spell-check) 05/04/2012 - 8:40am He made it very clear that his desire was not for Stafford to be injured, but in fact only proposed a hypothetical situation that, i believe, could likely be rooted in the fact that Peppers has knocked Stafford out of a game in the past. 05/04/2012 - 3:49pm |

thechase99 i'm probably not the only one who got chills watching that little snippet on the bears' team website of cutler tossing the old pigskin to marshall....

thechase99 If we draft OL Mitchell Schwartz out of Cal, we would have 2 "Husky Hebrews" (with Gabe Carimi) on our offensive line... I LIKE IT! 2 Mauling Maccabees... 2 Hoyacha Heebs (Hoyacha is yiddish for really tall)... 2 Gigantic Jews...

thechase99 just a thought here, not a commentary one way or another, but you think the bears could trade down in the draft and acquire a stud linebacker prospect (a la LB Zach Brown) and get another 2nd-3rd to get OL/DL/CB help?? Our LB's are getting long in the tooth and thin behind lach/briggs
03/14/2012 - 7:14pm Respond sure, the New York Football Giants 'proved' last year you don't need stud backers BUT the Bears play a slightly different style of defense... our Backers are essentially DE's AND CB'S (and in lach's case a Safety)... were the Giants had the pass rush (as do Bears -- mostly) they also have a stacked CB-corps (the prince being third in their depth chart)... I like Tillman and he plays well for the Bears D but we don't have CB's like that... our LB's are very important for us 03/14/2012 - 7:17pm As high as I am on Stephen Hill, if Dre Kirkpatrick doesn't fall to 19th then I would be fine with either trading to late in the first round or out of the first round entirely. Hill atm is a bit of a reach there, so if we could trade down to just before the Texans at 26th (who are commonly projected to pick him), then we could get him and an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick. As has been discussed, there is serious depth in WR in this draft class and a quality player can be picked up in the second or third. I agree that an extra pick would help build some depth on defense. 03/14/2012 - 9:42pm |

thechase99 If Emery somehow signs Mario Williams now, you know they are committed to a Superbowl in the next two years
03/13/2012 - 3:21pm Respond Damn Straight! We deserve it, Urlacher has been faithful to us, he deserves a ring and I'm sure Emery see's that. But I have heard that the Bills are interested in Mario. 03/13/2012 - 3:27pm I hear the same about the Bill, too. Several of the staff on PFF are predicting that's where he is going. I just don't see Mario liking that situation. What's there for him? 03/13/2012 - 4:05pm We're broke now except for the draft. 03/14/2012 - 7:00am |

thechase99 mike wallace should not be considered an option... not prepared to offer mad dough AND a 1st/2nd round draft pick. Meachem maybe, but also not Manningham (problems with drops and that's with Eli's catchable passes not Cutler's cannon-shots)... definitely eddie royal
