@souleater8147 This Forte to Pats rumor is funny! I want those two 3rds back f they trade. Throw in a second too.
03/26/2012 - 12:05am Respond Show all 6 comments I thinking try to get the Pats 3rd rounder and we have a deal. 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Hub Arkish was saying Bush was looking for a starting gig in FA. This would give him that. Start Bush and Bell could back him up. Then the Bears have that kid from Norte Dame Armando Allen who is a freaking little bowling ball. You are now looking at 1,2,2,3,3,4,4 Thats a youth infusion right there. 03/26/2012 - 12:46am I'd been working on that blog for days, since the Forte rant, when I caught that rumor (again) as well. It is obvious that teams would only be smart to inquire. that happens ALL THE TIME. The rumor today though made me shake my head. Maybe I sensed a disturbance in the force lol. It wouldn't be the first time. We'll see what happens. I always thought even last year a team like the Pack or Pats would love to have Forte. 03/26/2012 - 2:14am Would hate to see him leave, but I think he may be seriously overvaluing himself. If he is looking for AP and CJ type money then he needs to hit the road because he's not worth it. Hope they get something done which would be mutually beneficial to both sides, but he is not that crucial any longer. He has two weaknesses running the ball on 3rd and short/goal line and pass protection as he wiffs a lot of the time. If he goes to the Pats fine but never should the Bears allow him to go to a Division rival. 03/26/2012 - 2:32am I've said it before, that its his agent that's probably putting this crap in his head. I mean I'd be frustrated with the poor paycheck over the past four years, yet what he doesn't see is he's going to have a larger check EITHER WAY! Honestly, I think this move is the agent's crap 'cause he knows Forte's value is going to do down thanks to greater contributions by Marshall/Bush. So he's probably trying to get as much out of the Bear's as he can with this silly controversy. 03/26/2012 - 9:49am Agreed Gravis. I actually have been feeling the same way. Especially the way his agent decided to release a statement in response to Bush signing, thereby taking negotiations to the media. 03/26/2012 - 3:53pm I'm not sure I agree. In my very humble opinion, and if I'm not mistaken, Cliff Stein is the Bears' chief contract negotiator (and has been since 2009). In recent memory, it seems all contract negotiations with the Bears' gets ugly. Certainly, they shouldn't be walk-overs, capitulating to everything, but it seems they really play hardball with players' agents and this aggravates both the agents and the players. I'm sure like us fans, Forte is eager to sign, so everyone's frustrations are coming out. 03/28/2012 - 5:36am |

@souleater8147 I say the Bears trade forte for picks and keep Barber. You have 3 good running backs with Bush,Barber and Bell. It's a passing league now. Running backs are a dime a dozen. Draft some younger players on defense.
03/22/2012 - 1:35pm Respond Show all 4 comments but when you have a rb who is just as likely to get a td on the ground or the air, the is far more beneficial than a pure ground game. 03/22/2012 - 3:26pm Bush is excellent in the passing game and is a better blocker than Forte, he's a complete back - even moreso than Forte because he can run north-south. 03/23/2012 - 7:28am Actually, how about making Forte WR? lol. He has the hands and route running and could 'run the wildcat' too. 03/24/2012 - 5:29am ha or TE? 03/25/2012 - 10:07pm |

@souleater8147 The Legend of @yourboyroy more people should like this video. give it a like. He turns the sign to the cars in mid thought.... that is hilarious!
03/21/2012 - 11:25pm Respond Lol. Ah yes, the legendary one fan protest. I'll never forget it. I was there for days. Halas Hall is right next to the police station and the cops were actually on my side. Would stop by to talk Bears. Good stuff! Never forget how pissed off Kruetz was at me for it. Sometimes it be's like that. 03/26/2012 - 4:23pm |

@souleater8147 Another thing I'd love to see the Bears improve is the special teams blocking on kickoff return.

@souleater8147 This is how I'd approach the offseason.
1. Free Agency seek vet offensive players. 1.WR, 2.OL maybe a DE or CB/S
2. Draft defense. I want a youth infusion on defense. LB's DE CB S I don't want a young receiver unless he's can't miss. Like Matt Bowen said young receivers take time to develop.
02/09/2012 - 12:26am Respond I completely agree Defense should be the priority for the draft each year. Offensive playmakers are better in Free Agency. 02/09/2012 - 9:19pm I say we get big time pass rusher that demands attention. Peppers can't do it all on his own. Quintin coples and whitney mercilus could be two guys i'd like to get if they fall to us 02/09/2012 - 11:27pm |
