hernanv Just saw Evan or as Roy would say 'Ivan" Rodriguez tape,he's impressive, he's a very nasty blocker and always wants to block more than on guy. He bounces of one guy and pops another thats physicality right there. The Temple offense didnt really expand the playbook for him, he ran little flat routs.
05/04/2012 - 9:45am Respond Yeah he can motor and he's one tough S.O.B. He may or may not have to get a little stronger to be as effective at the pro level as he was at the collegiate level, but he already has that blocker's mentality which is hard to coach. 05/04/2012 - 3:31pm Yeah, this goes back to this team trying to be more physical with their players, and thats one thing that Evan is for sure. 05/04/2012 - 10:15pm |

hernanv A sleeper Wideout to watch out for is Brian Quick hes a mid round pick, about 6'3 225 ran a 4.5, tape shows he plays faster than that and has great hands.

hernanv SHout out to Roy, he called it way back I remember seeing it on the show, he said dont be surprised if this goes down but no one wanted to read between the lines! Roy needs his own show man!

hernanv Dude the Bears offense has a whole new dimension if we cn land M. Williams were a SB contender in my eyes, we were 7-3 without these guys imagine with these guys and barring good health.

hernanv http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/02/22/bears-could-have-as-much-as-28-million-to-spend/
The Bears can have 28 Mil to spend. Theres no excuse to not sign WRs, its Phil Emerys call now.
02/22/2012 - 12:04pm Respond I wouldnt expect the bears to go WR happy in FA. I do expect to get one, however i think thats as far as it will go because we are going to draft one. 02/22/2012 - 7:53pm Yeah realistically I think they will do that, I hope we get a number 1 though if FA and draft someone with the potential to be a #1 ( Floyd basically I wouldnt mind Wright if we got Stevie Johnson or Bowe) 02/22/2012 - 10:40pm |

hernanv Jeremy Bates has just been signed by the Bears for QB coach reuniting him with Cutler, nice pick up.

hernanv Roy! i just saw your latest video. Had some really good points, im happy to see you getting back on track. Honestly i say we get DT Mercilus with out pick and address the position WR in FA or via trade. This draft is too deep to draft for need instead of the best available.
01/28/2012 - 5:24pm Respond Show all 7 comments Ming the Mercilus ! I'd love to see us go Burfict or Konz though ... 01/30/2012 - 5:54am That's who i want, also. He is a DE though. He would fix the line and i think make the defense better right away. Burfict is a project yet and i Konz is not worthy of 19th overall, maybe if we trade down. I am all on the Mercilus train, though, we could use him badly. 01/30/2012 - 4:55pm Exactly Burfict is someone you can trade up for maybe you sneak back into the first round (mid to late 20s you know ). At 19 we CANNOT draft for need but the best player available that might be Mercilus, honestly ive never really liked Floyd. 01/30/2012 - 8:56pm He might be the best player available at 19...DE is a position of need though. 01/30/2012 - 11:38pm DE is not as pressing as WR/ Safety. But I mean Mecrilus would provide that presence next to Pepp, you have an interior presence with Melton (who had 8 sacks!) Paea and Toenia , and Okoye. Honestly we are a WR like Brandon Marshall away from the SB, we were 7-3 guys entering the easiest part of our schedule we would have been a 11 win team easy. But once again the bears are under the radar, which we thrive under. 01/31/2012 - 2:19am I agree with you on that but i am not sure i like anyone in the first round at 19 enough to take them. I am hoping for Steve Johnson in FA, though. (we need a big name in FA) that will take care of our biggest need and let us relax, a tad. DE is pressing, IMO....0 i say 0 sacks vs the packers is not going to get anything done around here and we are one piece away from finishing our line which makes or breaks our defense and will help the Corner and safety positions. 01/31/2012 - 10:32am Yeah I think the Bears will get someone they have to or else they are setting up Tice for failure. I think that after all the injuries the Bears players kind of lost themselves you know, they are better then 0 sacks. But yeah the best safety in the draft should be available in the draft (which is not a good thing). Either way its going to be a good offseason to watch. 01/31/2012 - 5:29pm |

hernanv The Bears should adress the DE and WR position this offseason, honestly it will be easier to to find a WR via FA or trade. A DE we should look at is Whitney Mercilus i hope the Bears get him he is a beast even if he moves to DT it will make us a beast!
01/03/2012 - 4:37pm Respond Show all 4 comments He's actually the latest draft prospect I've added to my list of possible choices by the Bears. I'd rather him be with us then drafted by a team looking to turn him into a 3-4 OLB. 01/03/2012 - 5:16pm I've watched all illini games this year. Mercilus is a great, relentless pass rusher but he needs to work on his gap integrity on running plays. That's his only flaw. He would definitely be my drast pick if he's on the board. 01/03/2012 - 6:09pm I agree with that pick, our d-line was a sad, sad sight vs the packers beat up oline. 0 sacks is just not something that should be tolerable.. 01/03/2012 - 9:57pm The good thing is that he has the physical traits to excel, Im confident with Maranelli helping him out with the run gaps and plus you have to realize that Mecilus didnt have help at Illinois but he will in Chicago with Pepp Melton and Izzy. He should have 1 on 1s alot. 01/04/2012 - 2:10pm |

hernanv The Bears should throw the last game and see if we can get a little higher on the draft board 8-8 means no playoffs and not a good draft pick.
12/26/2011 - 1:39pm Respond Show all 6 comments I agree, if we lost and other teams won, we could drop as low as 11th or 12th pick. Vikings fans are probability thinking the same thing. 12/26/2011 - 5:34pm Yeah that could get us a shot at good talent in a draft with good WR's we can also draft future replacements for our D maybe a corner or something. 12/26/2011 - 11:45pm it won't matter where we are, as long as angelo is drafting, we won't get any good talent. He just keeps drafting injury prone players or busts. He always finds a way to ruin a draft. 12/27/2011 - 1:47am I disagree he has drafted Forte, and the majority of current pro bowlers. I think as fans we ask too much because we cannot land starters with every pick in every draft. 12/27/2011 - 11:43pm Lovie has created these players as pro bowlers with great defensive schemes. all angelo has done is brought has been pro bowlers in with the exception of JP and from what i hear lovie is the one who heavily recruited him. 12/29/2011 - 2:24pm But isnt that what a coach is suppose to do? a GM spots talent a coach molds them into a star. Call it what you want but you cannot take away credit from any of the draft picks. If you give him shit for drafting horrible players, then you have to praise him for his good picks as well. Im not saying he is perfect but we would be bitching about him if it wasnt for an injury. 12/29/2011 - 3:10pm |
