ColtZero I think Marshall should have been the second best receiver on this years Top 100 countdown, only second to Megatron. Catching 41% of the passes with 118 catches, come on. That screams top 10 overall to me.
06/14/2013 - 6:23pm Respond The fact that Julio Jones is ahead of him just shows how much of a joke the top 100 list is. 06/15/2013 - 7:37am And he arguably could be the best receiver of the season 06/15/2013 - 7:49am Larry Fitzgerald was ahead!!! that is even worse so was Wayne. 06/15/2013 - 2:46pm |

ColtZero Ok, I am seriously confused with this draft already. I'm pretty disappointed thus far. Arthur Brown was still on the board at fifty, scouts give him a grade of 90 and yet Emery drafts Bostic who has a 62? Really Emery? Idk what goes on in his head at times.
04/26/2013 - 10:16pm Respond Show all 5 comments That's what only.matters what Emery thinks. He has to trust himself and his team of.scouts. 04/26/2013 - 11:20pm Those NFL.com grades are practically worthless. They're determined from weeks, maybe months if generous of actual work and those people are probably on a deadline for several dozen other players and articles of completely unrelated material. The Bears have people who've looked at these kids their entire college career and go back to their high school tape. 04/27/2013 - 1:59am Last year Emery reached big time in rounds 1, 3, and 4. How'd that work out? Oh yeah, Shea did nothing, Hardin didn't play a down, and ERod caught 2 passes the whole year! Emery is a fucking moron, and we'll have to suffer another 5 years before we get a shot at a decent GM! 04/27/2013 - 5:41am Well Werner, I'm sure those draft grades might not be as true, but they do have some good analysts and scouts in Mike Mayock, so it holds some truth initially. I wonder how much say Trestman or even Kromer get in the drafting process. Cause right now idk Emery's logic. The first round I think you should always draft the best person on the board, no matter the position. It will eventually make you money if you don't need him or swap out another player on the roster. There were plenty of beasts available! Eifert, Sharif Floyd, Xavier Rhodes, Ogleltree & Patterson would have been my guesses. But instead he drafts a guy that aced an "athletic test". 04/27/2013 - 10:32am Mayock is good at seeing it from a scouts eye. But doesn't see it as an individual team. Mayock picked Teo for the Bears and he went in the second round. At the end of the day each team values players differently. We should give it time and wait to judge this years class. 04/27/2013 - 10:47am |

ColtZero I feel like our second rounders are always better than our first rounders. So let's hope we snag one hell-of-a football player. I doubt Teo will be there, but Arthur Brown is my guess. Zach Ertz might be gone too but thats a possibility. What are your thoughts?
04/26/2013 - 1:50pm Respond i agree with our second rounders usually being better. But I want to see Arthur Brown. that was my pick at linebacker in the first place and we could definitely get him. 04/26/2013 - 2:55pm |

ColtZero Wow, Looks like Geno Smith might be available at 20. I wouldn't be surprised for Trestman's sake if they pick him up.

ColtZero A lot of Bears fans are raving about Tavon Austin, but there is a good chance that he would be available at #20. Many predict he will go to the Rams but to me they need a bigger WR that can play the outside, like Patterson. Tavons size will keep him out of top 15.
04/18/2013 - 12:55pm Respond Show all 7 comments The only way I see Tavon going any higher is if a team like the Chargers or Bucs take a reciever like Patterson early, then the Rams will pick him up. The steelers could use a WR too but they should address the OLB first. And if he is available to us at 20 we can either snag him or trade our pick to the Vikings in exchange for a second and/or third. 04/18/2013 - 1:00pm From A lot of different reports I have read. I would have to agree here. I think he would still be available at 20 and I think we trade down. Because their is a such a need for getting that next playmaker that someone will give up maybe more than they should. Maybe a second and a third. maybe use that 3rd pick on a receiver like ryan swope he is projected to be there. I think his physical play fits in well with the bears and he has really good game speed. 04/18/2013 - 5:57pm plus from reports the vikings are looking to move up in the draft. they really could play into our hand 04/18/2013 - 6:10pm The thing is that everyone keeps comparing him to Pervy Harvin but the problem is that those type of players (small explosive players) dont usually last long, Wes Welker is an exception because he is a really good WR period, Harvin and Austin are more like playmakers than WRs. On another note I really feel like there is going to be a gaurd available at 20. I think either Warmack or Cooper might be taken before 20 not both. History just tells us that teams dont like drafting first round guards, its not like these guys are once in a generation players like Calvin or AP. 04/18/2013 - 7:46pm They are definitely VERY GOOD pro bowl players , but i dont think they are HOF capable players . 04/18/2013 - 7:47pm Well all of those migraine issues became percy's downfall. I think Tavon will end up better than Percy and last a lot longer. And I can agree that his size can hold him back. But the point is we know he is a very explosive player and can be a game changer to some degree. So will the Bears be willing to let the Vikings get him and have to face him along with AP twice a year for the next so and so years? Who knows. Emery really needs to play his cards right to automatically put us in a better standing in the division through the draft. 04/18/2013 - 11:08pm Thats true at this point if Austin is there at 20 and the guards are gone i take him no doubt. 04/19/2013 - 12:45am |

ColtZero I think the Bears should consider drafting Ryan Swope in the second or third if we don't go with one in the first round, which is looking likely. He had a really good 40 at the combine and could be a solid slot receiver. He's not as sure handed as Bennet, but is definitely more athletic.
04/04/2013 - 9:07am Respond He looked good could be a solid pick.up. 04/04/2013 - 12:47pm I would have to agree I think he would be a good pickup 04/04/2013 - 4:21pm |

ColtZero And now that the Bears just inked Jonathan Scott, to me it looks like we're not drafting a lineman in the first round either. Something is boiling underneath the surface, can't wait to see how this turns out. That's now 3 RT with the option of having Webb be a backup for both Left and Right Tackle.
03/25/2013 - 3:16pm Respond Show all 6 comments hmmm... any news on Lance Louis? Or is he more of a liability coming off that injury? 03/25/2013 - 3:33pm Idk. But I hope he returns. 03/25/2013 - 3:39pm I think they are trading down and getting a solid player 03/25/2013 - 4:45pm They will trade down. Emery already said. Probably in the 2nd too. Don't forget Trestman will probably give a shot to a couple Montreal guys. S. J. Green is a very appealing WR 03/25/2013 - 6:17pm Don't you guys mean 'trading up' for a higher pick in the draft? 03/26/2013 - 2:40am I really like what Emery has done so far. He's given the team great flexibility in the draft. They can trade down or stay put if someone is available that they really like - at any position. They could even trade up if they feel they need to add one more playmaker to the puzzle, who knows. But in any case, they're much less predictable now. I still think they will go OL with their first pick, even if they trade down to rd 2. 03/26/2013 - 6:32am |

ColtZero I feel like we are going to be totally surprised with the Bears 1st pick. It doesn't seem like we will draft a LB at this point. I personally wouldn't mind if the Bears snagged Tavon Austin. I think that guy has pure talent and is a legit home-run hitter. But I doubt they will in the first.
03/25/2013 - 1:38pm Respond Show all 4 comments you might be on to something though... even with BMarsh, Forte, the Bennetts, and Alshon, there is not the "home run hitter" like you mention on Offense yet. Hester is the best in the open field, but its obvious that Trestman wants him to focus on returning to his KR/PR elite form; without being a WR. So, if they have some O-Line eyed-up for rounds 2-4, Emery might take a chance with a big weapon for Offense. Why not?! With Bushrod coming in, and new coaching for that O-Line, i don't think its as bad of a need to draft a 1st round "star" to come in and start right away. If that Alabama Guard is there (Blalock, i think?) I say take the dude, but at #20, who knows who will be available... but also don't count on the fact that we signed DJ Williams and Anderson... they might be Vets who know how to get the job done in the NFL, but they aren't freaks like Ogletree. His ceiling is SKY HIGH. 03/25/2013 - 2:02pm That is true. I've seen a lot of mock drafts of the Bears taking LB Arthur Brown, but I don't think he is first round material. I think he can easily be available in the second. It's also hard for me to determine rather if Ogeltree would be drafted. I know if this was the Lovie Smith era, he has way too many red flags to be drafted. But with Our new head coach and staff, it could be a possibility. But I do know that Emery likes drafting guys with high ceilings so who knows. 03/25/2013 - 2:17pm this article points out everything but your point of a Tavon Austin-type... which makes me think that is where Emery will go http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20130325/sports/703259675/?interstitial=1 03/26/2013 - 11:21am Tavon Austin is not worth a 1st round pick he's too small and he's only a slot receiver. 03/28/2013 - 9:20pm |

ColtZero I actually really like the Shea McClellin pick. Some people think he wont fit into our defense as a DE but he really does have the potential. I've heard people say he's too small, but look at Jared Allen, he's not that huge either and he is highly effective. He only has a few pounds over Shea
04/28/2012 - 10:58am Respond And as I said to Roy, I heard the Packers had Shea on their list as a potential pick. We all know how good the packers draft, so imo if the Packers were looking at taking him with their first round pick then he must be a very good athlete. And the tape proves that! He is extremely fast off the edge, has quick hands to disengage from his blocks and has really good football instincts. He's a good tackler and can run down the field and make plays. I think this pick should really be a hint to what the Defense will be like next year. I expect them to use some new packages, lining up in a 3-4 occasionally (a 46 haha) and really utilizing the talents we have. 04/28/2012 - 11:10am People were screaming for Chandler Jones. He weighs 247lbs and is 6'5. He might play DE this year, but it's obvious he'll be groomed to fill in for Lac. 04/29/2012 - 7:56am |

ColtZero THE BEARS GOT BRANDON MARSHALL!!!!!! WHAT THE F********! THANK YOU JESUS!!!! And I told YOU ALL about 4 weeks ago, both of our 3rd round picks could get Marshall! There is alot of talent in the draft and the Dolphins will likely upgrade at that position now! Cutty will unleash DA BEAST!!!!
