ChicagoVibe89 I hope Da Bears take Chandler Jones with the 19th pick the more i watch his tape the more I believe he's the future of our Defense. in the 2nd round I hope Stephen Hill is available, I just know Marshall and Hill will be a nightmarish one, two punch to defenses. 3rd round, Id chose Jared Crick
04/23/2012 - 6:51pm Respond The more mock drafts I read, the more I think if we don't take him at 19th then we'll lose him. All depends on where these supposed offers for trading back are. 04/23/2012 - 9:58pm |

ChicagoVibe89 BTW does anyone know if we will have enough cap space for players like Michael Bush and Kamerion Wimbley? I really think those two are the missing pieces in are path to the post season. plus it would allow us to get a top tier OT in the Draft
03/15/2012 - 1:19pm Respond Show all 4 comments Depends on how to the contracts are structured. But in 2011, Bush was a $2.6m hit, and Wimbley was a $11m hit to the Raider's cap. I'd prefer the Bush not get to big of a contract; don't see him as a big need because I'm very optimistic about Forte not holding out. We've spent about, what $15-17m of what started as around a $28m cap space pre-FA. We are going to lose players, so that gives some much needed room for both Bush and Wimbley and our draft picks. Just need to not overspend, obviously. 03/15/2012 - 3:07pm if we were to sign Wimbley to a long term deal (say 5 years) we could probably get him at ~6-7mill/yr and that would leave us with about 6-7mill in room to sign draftees... not too shabby 03/16/2012 - 2:25pm if we were to sign Wimbley to a long term deal (say 5 years) we could probably get him at ~6-7mill/yr and that would leave us with about 6-7mill in room to sign draftees... not too shabby 03/16/2012 - 2:25pm Michael Lombardi reports that the Raiders will release Kamerion Wimbley today. 03/16/2012 - 3:03pm |

ChicagoVibe89 Looks like Aaron Rodgers gets to keep his head for now. He must have been sweating like a crazy knowing Mario Williams was possibly gonna talk to the Chicago Bears

ChicagoVibe89 Since Eric Weems was signed today, does anyone think Knox possibly wont return after this season or at all for that matter? and what would anyone think of making Devin Hester a CB to add more debt and draft one in the 2nd or 3rd round? I mean he was originally drafted as a Corner
03/14/2012 - 11:16am Respond Show all 4 comments Cont. especially if Graham continues his career elsewhere 03/14/2012 - 11:17am Personally....I'm no Johnny Knox fan. I'm rather tired of watching him not get to the next level of being a WR. I will even take a return of Roy Williams over him! 03/14/2012 - 12:50pm You can't stretch Hester that much. He is a returner foremost, but our secret weapon on the offense. You dont need him to further risk injury by putting him on D. 03/14/2012 - 2:07pm Im not sayin he should be an every down Corner, just a back up in case Tillman or Jennings goes down. Like how Graham was in his tenure here 03/14/2012 - 2:25pm |

ChicagoVibe89 I have a feeling Da Bears will sign WR Robert Meachem and CB Brandon Carr in FA. That would definitely fill the void in those positions, plus I believe Kansas City will not let Dwayne Bowe(the receiver I personally want) hit the open market, and Carr would be the odd man out of the Chiefs secondary.
02/09/2012 - 4:40pm Respond as far as Johnny Knox goes, If he doesn't make it to training camp, he will be put in IR and Roy Williams will get another shot with our team for another 1 year deal 02/09/2012 - 4:53pm From the quick stats I've read, Carr seems to be descent in the pass game (against the packers: thrown at six times but allowed just a single reception for eight yards. That translates to 1.3 yards per target). But I'm thinking for that very reason and more that the Chiefs won't let him hit free agency. He won't be too big of a cap-hit for them, either, unless they plan a major overhaul of their roster. He was their 5th round draft pick and seems to be a future starter for them. 02/09/2012 - 10:36pm |

ChicagoVibe89 Do we give Marion Barber another year with his injury issues? or do we give Robert Hughes a shot? I believe he'd be the better option. Forte, Bell, Allen, and Hughes looks like good depth to me
01/25/2012 - 5:00pm Respond I like "The Barbarian" he's a true #2 rb in this league we'll need that come cold games and playoffs. I'd keep Bell also. 01/25/2012 - 9:33pm |

ChicagoVibe89 Does anyone think we have enough cap space to be aggressive in Free Agency? I was hoping we could pick up Vincent Jackson and OT Demetrius Bell. That'll give Jay a #1 Receiver and protection on his blindside. This would also allow us to focus on defense in the draft maybe SS or MLB in the 1st round
01/08/2012 - 5:07pm Respond Show all 6 comments Anyone would be an upgrade at LT, but we can do better than Demetrius Bell in the draft. It'd be better financially, too. The Bills like what they got in Bell and he'll most likely get a new contract, so the Bears would have to dish out a sizable contract for the former 7th round pick when they can just draft LT in a mid round for cheap. From what I've read, only first rounders in those positions are SS Mark Barron who has character issues and needs to adapt his style to fit the new defenseless player rules, and ILB Luke Kuechly who could go before our pick. There are one or two other ILB that could go in the late first round, but the Bears would be better suited to pick the best CB left on the board if they stick with defense at 19th overall. 01/08/2012 - 6:03pm I would go woth whitney mercilus. It all starts up front, no matter how good your secondary is. Cory wooten obviously isnt the answer as the 3rd De 01/08/2012 - 7:17pm What about TJ McDonald from USC? This kid is a natural born leader and would solidify the SS position on our roster. 01/08/2012 - 8:49pm He's a good player but it might be a reach. A team should draft the best available and not for need in the first round. Just ask yourself: is he the best player available? 01/08/2012 - 10:07pm TJ McDonald announced 12/21/11 that he was going back for his senior year. 01/09/2012 - 1:11am The Bear's will have about 23 million last I heard. That will change rather quickly after the GM is selected. I wonder how much staff dose bring to Halas Hall? anyone know? 01/16/2012 - 5:48pm |

ChicagoVibe89 Is there anyone with me when I say DA Bears should draft LB Vontaze Burfict in the 1st round? We might have to move up a few spots but we have the leverage(our 1st rounder and 3rd rounder), and we need to find a successor to Urlacher that could just come in and play. he would be a perfect fit
12/27/2011 - 7:50pm Respond Show all 5 comments im kinda thinkin either WR or CB 12/29/2011 - 12:45am Yeah im not counting the old man out just yet he has 2 more years left in the tank. No PT for rookies right now. Im thinking an explosive physical reciever or TE with same ability then a CB and OLB 12/29/2011 - 2:21pm It's not that im counting Urlacher out. I still believe he will be our starter for 2-3 years, I just think the time to act on the future is now and if we draft Burfict in the 1st round he could start at Strongside and allow Urlacher to coach and mold him into the MLB of the future 12/29/2011 - 11:27pm Plus their will be plenty of quality Receivers in 2nd round that could step in and be that number 1 for Cutler. check out Mohamed Sanu from Rutgers and Dwight Jones(maybe 3rd round) from North Carolina 12/29/2011 - 11:29pm If you can control him he's a Byron Cox and sometimes he would get out of control. Yes the talent is there I like a DE as the Bears first selection then an LT if there is still any available 01/17/2012 - 9:44am |
